Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) Notice

Rotorrify (rotorrify.com) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (DMCA), we will respond promptly to valid notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with applicable law.

Copyright Infringement Notification

If you believe that content available on or through Rotorrify infringes your copyright, please send a written notice of claimed infringement to our designated Copyright Agent at info@rotorrify.com. Your notice must include the following information to be considered valid under the DMCA:

1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed. If multiple copyrighted works are covered by a single notification, you may provide a representative list of such works.
3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity, including information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material on our website (such as the URL where the content appears).
4. Your contact information, including your address, telephone number, and email address.
5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Counter-Notification Procedure

If you believe that material you posted on Rotorrify was removed or access to it was disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification with our Copyright Agent at info@rotorrify.com. Your counter-notification must include:

1. Your physical or electronic signature.
2. Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled, and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or disabled.
3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
4. Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or if you are outside the United States, for any judicial district in which Rotorrify may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification or an agent of such person.

Repeat Infringer Policy

Rotorrify maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers of copyright. We reserve the right to terminate access to our website for users who repeatedly post infringing material or engage in other violations of intellectual property rights.

User-Generated Content Disclaimer

Rotorrify operates as a question-and-answer platform where users contribute content related to drone building and racing. While we provide tools and guidelines to encourage responsible content sharing, we do not pre-screen or actively monitor all user submissions. The views, opinions, build instructions, technical specifications, and racing techniques shared by our community members are their own and do not necessarily reflect the views of Rotorrify.

Users who post content to Rotorrify represent and warrant that they own or have the necessary rights to share such content, and that their submissions do not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party. By submitting content, users grant Rotorrify a non-exclusive license to display, distribute, and use such content in connection with operating and promoting the website.

Fair Use Consideration

Rotorrify recognizes that certain uses of copyrighted material may constitute fair use under copyright law. Our community frequently discusses commercial drone products, references manufacturer specifications, and shares technical diagrams for educational and informational purposes. Such references are typically used for commentary, comparison, troubleshooting assistance, and educational instruction within the drone building and racing community.

However, fair use is determined on a case-by-case basis, and we encourage all users to respect copyright boundaries. When sharing images, videos, build guides, or other potentially copyrighted materials, please ensure you have appropriate permissions or that your use qualifies as fair use under applicable law.

Response Timeline

Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, Rotorrify will make reasonable efforts to remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material within a reasonable timeframe. We will also make a good faith effort to notify the user who posted the content, subject to privacy considerations and legal requirements.

Please note that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing may be subject to liability. We take false claims seriously and reserve the right to seek damages against anyone who submits a fraudulent or bad-faith DMCA notification.
